Raven Rinas, P.hD.
English-Speaking Therapist in Munich
About Me
My name is Raven Rinas (she/her). I’m originally from Canada and have called Munich home since 2016. My background includes a PhD in Psychology, training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and a license to practice psychotherapy in Germany (Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie). I’m also working toward registration as a psychotherapist in Ontario, Canada.
Earlier in my career, I taught and conducted research in a university psychology department, focusing on the connection between motivation and well-being. This experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding how personal and environmental factors shape mental health, and how psychological research can be translated into meaningful practical support.
Alongside research, I gained experience in online counselling, higher education, and community mental health. These experiences showed me how much I value being with people in their struggles and strengths — listening to their stories, offering support, and helping them find new ways forward. Over time, I realized that psychotherapy is where I feel most at home and able to make a difference.
Outside of work, I enjoy life in Munich with my husband and our senior fox terrier, Charly. I love crocheting, crafting, and unwinding with documentaries and podcasts.
